Intercontinental version specially adapted to the requirements of the BOAC. It had a 0.89m higher keel plane and an additional stabilization fin under the tail to improve flight characteristics on takeoff and landing. These modifications were then also applied to the -320. In addition, it also had powerful British Rolls Royce Conway turbofans. The radar (ECKO), seats and oxygen equipment were also British made. An English novelty was also the Creed Airborne Teleprinter, which receives radio weather reports and immediately types them out for the crew.

British Airways was only willing to buy the 707 if Boeing bought back the delivered Stratocruisers.
